Thursday, September 07, 2006   Trip to Ottawa Well, I leave for Ottawa on Saturday morning. It's the annual September 11 memorial in the nation's capital. I'm going as a member of my dept. honour guard. I'm the sole piper in the bunch. Try to take a moment in your busy day to think about the 343 FDNY firefighters who didn't come home on 9-11, and the police and paramedics as well.
