There are many benefits to training. Improved fitness, elevated self esteem, social competetivness. For some, weight loss is important. That was me. At 220 lbs I was way too heavy for my 5'10" frame. Training got me to 195, and I could feel the difference.
The difference was visually noticable also. I decided to pose for the charity calendar my department puts out every 2 years. Lo and behold, I made the cut. Mr. February, believe it or not.
So the advantages of tri training are not always immediately apparent, but they do come up from time to time. And here's a peak at the calendar pic, in case you were curious (or not).
